Last night, Eric suprised me with the "Elf" DVD!! Yes! I love that movie. We watched that with the Maly family last Thanksgiving. You should watch it too! So, whoever has my christmas list. Please scratch of ELF.

What a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving Weekend!!! I'm still recovering. Chris & Brook stayed with Wednesday thru Saturday night. Eric's parents (and Chris & Brook) met my parents Wednesday night. I cooked Grandma & Grandpa's Chicken. It was a feast!! My dad couldn't stop talking!! They had a great time! They loved meeting you, Mr. & Mrs. Maly, Chris & Brook. What a great night!

Dinner at Ditka's Thanksgiving night. Not to mention, a wonderful treat to the Field Museum to see the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Exhibit. It was such a fun day!!!! Then, it was back to the apartment for a game of Poker. Watch out for Brook...She's a Card Shark!!! Chris & Matt joined us. We haven't seen them in a long time. They're visiting from Minnesota.

Friday night, another game of poker...this time, Oli and Lily joined us (along with Matt & Chris). I kicked butt! Thank you very much!!!

Dinner at Joe's Steak and Seafood on Saturday. And then off to Momma Mia the Musical! That was sooo much fun!! I sang through the whole thing. You should check it out!!!

I had such a lovely weekend!!! Thank You again Maly Family!!! Thank You for Everything!!

I FORGOT TO MENTION: Jesse left his knives in the cab Friday morning. Fortunately, the cab driver turned it in and Jesse will be picking it up soon. I HOPE! Thanks, Cab Driver! Jesse also informed me .. at his new job.. John Ashcroft was one of his customers! COOL!

Happy Thanksgiving Week, Everybody!!!

Played poker with Trout, Margaret, Oli and Eric saturday night ... ended up even by the end of the night. Which is FANTASTIC for me!!! It was a great time. Thanks for having us, Trout, Margaret & Oli!!!!

Had Thanksgiving with Eric's kids at work on Sunday. It was fun! I helped a lot with the dinner work so I missed some of the play. But, from what I saw it was very entertaining. Eric had the class sign/sing "Blackbird" while he played it on the guitar. It was great!!

I'm starting to prepare for the family arrival! It's not going so well! I was not feeling too well Saturday afternoon so I tried to do my best to clean the apartment up. I hope my chicken turns out good! I'm getting a little nervous about it!!!

I'll tell you how it goes.

I think Eric had a wonderful birthday. There was cake and presents. It was a good time! I'll try to get some pictures up. I forgot my camera but my sister, Lily, took some. I'm really tired now.

I'm sooo excited! My family will get to meet Eric's family next week!!! Since Chris & Brook will be in town also.. I thought it would be a great opportunity for everyone to meet. HOW EXCITING!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEETIE!!

Had a small birthday dinner for Eric last night with my mom, my aunt and Georgette. It was a China Buffet, so it was very filling!! Georgette is starting to stand up, of course, not on her own. I'm trying to help her beat my record. I found out that I started to walk when I was 8 months old. I'm going to help Georgette start to walk at 7. You think I can do it??

CONGRATULATIONS, JASON & CHIHO!! This is their beautiful baby girl, Summer!! She is adorable!

Jesse came over last night to pick up the last of his things and made us omlets and potato pancakes. He needed a picture of one the dishes he made in class so we ate it after he made it. It was delicious! Thanks, again, Jesse!!

What a GREAT Weekend!!

Friday Night: Met up with the girls at the bar for our usual friday night. Therese wasn't feeling very well so she left early. Jesse joined us, after a long week of school and work, he needed to relax. Most of the night, we talked a lot about SANITATION!! Yes, sanitation! And how his teacher will not eat at a restaurant if their bathroom is not clean. Would you? Imagine. If their bathroom is not clean, what do you think their kitchen looks like??? EWWW!!! It was a fun evening!!! Thanks, JACKIE!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KELLY & JOHN JOHN Plandes!!!

We had Margaret and Trout over for the Huskers vs. Oklahoma game. The Huskers lost 3-30. But it was so nice to have Margaret and Trout over!!! I haven't seen then in a long time. I had a great time!!!

Sunday Night: Went to the Pixies Show. How fun was that!! It was totally ROCKIN! Saw John there..He's down with Shemahaka! I'll have some fun pics up for you soon!

UPDATE: I received this picture of our 5 month old Jakamahaka Trever. He's growing up fast!

Nothing much happening this week. Only that this is Jesse's last week staying with us. Jesse has been the best guest we've ever had. We are going to miss his company. Nikki and Whippet will miss him more.

He made chili for us last night..it was very good. In fact, I'm having some for lunch today. Thanks, Jesse!

Last night, Jesse delighted Eric and I with a 4 course dinner. I don't know the names of the dishes but I'll describe them to you.

First, we started off with a glass of white wine, French, of course. Our first dish was poached eggs in a red wine sauce on french toasted bread.

Second, we had tender, juicy, slices of pork (shoulder) with roasted chestnuts served with a glass of red wine. Yummy!!

Third, we had a plate of salad with red vinagerette dressing.

Lastly, a plate of bread served with two different kinds of cheeses. I can't tell you what they were but it was really creamy and good!

I was full!!! Thanks, Jesse! It was a great dinner. In fact, the best dinner Eric and I has ever had at home!!

What A Great Weekend!

Eric and I had dinner and watched Super Size Me and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. After watching Super Size Me...I'm never going to eat McDonald Fries again! Not even chicken McNuggets...yuck! Eternal Sunshine was OK. It wasn't what I expected it to be like.

Sunday, I did the impossible. I made Grandpa's Fried Chicken. Well, not quite. I was too easy on the salt but it was good. It was a Dinner Feast!! I cooked for Eric and Jesse. Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy (a la Eric), corn and biscuits. It was a delicious meal. Next time, I'll be a little more frugal with the batter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CLINT!!

What a great weekend!! Jackie & Jennie's Birthday/Halloween Party was awesome! I made them a birthday cake. Eric and I had lots of fun. And ERIC LOVES RAUL (Kathy's husband, Jackie's other sister)!! It was a party!!! That was saturday.

I am officially a Godmother!! A real Godmother! I figured out how the primary godparents and the secondary godparents. I am the primary godmother of Georgette. It was a fun celebration.
