What GREAT NEWS!!! Our porch is finally painted!!! Look how great it looks...Whippet loves it!!
What a GREAT VACATION WEEKEND!!! Went to Nebraska for the holiday weekend!! Had a lovely dinner friday Night with Eric's parents and Brook. Chris was working at a game but we met up with him later than night. It was an exhausting evening.
Saturday morning, we were off to the Cabin!! It was a beautiful day at the lake. Eric did some skiing and I got a sun burn on the top of my head. UGH! Had dinner at Andy's with Eric's parents and friends. It was a great evening!! So nice to get away from the city!!
Sunday morning did a little shopping for the New York trip. Thanks again Mrs. Maly!!! Then off to a Salt Dogs Game! Here's Homer...this little girl soooooo happy to see him!!!!
Then off to dinner with Grammy and Boppy!! Here's Brook and I wearing our Nebraska Sweatshirts (it was pretty warm in there). The Family Clan were there...Grammy, Boppy, Eric's parents, Chris, Brook, George and Michael. Thanks for a great evening!! And, we were off.... to check out Chris and Brooks NEW HOUSE... Wow!! It's Enormous and BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't have any pictures but i'll wait til next time when the bushes have been plucked out. Then off we go to watch... STAR WARS Again!!! Yes and I was happy about it! I enjoyed it again. Thanks, Chris & Brook!!!

Monday Morning it was off to Grandpa & Grandma's to make some CHICKEN!!
Before lunch, Grandpa hung out with his favorite Grand DOG... Mulligan...

Another GREAT Weekend!!! Saturday Night, Caitlin's Quincerra (15th) Birthday Party...it's a big FIESTA!!! I will have pictures up later. Then, Sunday morning... Jesse, Eric and I went to see Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. FANTASTIC!! I can't believe its over. Last night, Aunt Cheryl arrived so we took her to our favorite place and talked til midnight. It was a wonderful time!

EWB-USA is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life. These partnerships involve the implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training internationally responsible engineering professionals. The activities of EWB-USA range from the construction of sustainable systems that developing communities can own and operate without external assistance, to empowering such communities by enhancing local, technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial skills. These projects are initiated by, and completed with contributions from the host community. Since it’s founding in 2000, EWB-USA has run more than 80 projects in 35 countries.

CONGRATULATIONS, GAIL!!! Gail is graduating college TODAY with a Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry!!! Then continuing on to become a doctor!!! EXCELLENT!!
THANKS, JESSE & JUSTIN FOR A WONDERFUL DINNER!!! Justin made minestrone soup...delicious! Jesse made a flavorful pasta and meatball dish...Justin handmade the pasta. It was wonderful. And the dessert was great. I can't remember what it was called but it was delicious also. Thanks guys and it was great seeing you Justin!

WHAT AN AMAZING WEEKEND!!!!
Friday Night, Jesse had to work so Justin and I made dinner for the three of us. It was wonderful tortellini alfredo dinner and a great strawberry shortcake a la carte.
Saturday...Met up with Pat (who was in town the weekend), Andy and Lea at the White Sox game....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...so cold!!! That was fun but it got a lot better!!! Pat and Andy joined Eric and I for an evening of Bar Hopping!! Yes! We picked up Nate (who is also in town playing with Bright Eyes) at the tour bus and started our evening. It was a BLAST!! Nate left us after a couple stops, he was pretty tired from the show, but Eric, Pat, Andy and I went on all night long. We were out til 4:30AM!!! and ended the evening buying burritos. I had a great time guys!!
Sunday...Eric and I didn't get up til after 1pm. We had breakfast and watched "The Deer Hunter" starring Robert DeNiro until it was time to see Bright Eyes. Nate got us all access pass to watch them from the Balcony. It was great show. Nate did a great job. The Faint opened for Bright Eyes and they were a lot of fun. So much fun! I'm going to buy thier album. They played at the Riviera. I watched "Return of the Jedi" at that theater when I was a little girl. We got to hang out with Nate, Oli and Diana after the show. What a AWESOME WEEKEND!!!!

Guess What's Coming Next Thursday...
What a RELAXING EVENING!!!! Yes! Eric and I stayed home to relax after our long week!! He made burritos last night and we watched most of the Sopranos Season 4. We both went to bed early...but, yet, I'm still tired!!
Exciting News!!! I heard that we'll be going to TWO baseball games when we go to New York for Chris & Brook's Wedding!!! Yes! One Mets game and One Yankees game!! WHOOO HOO!!!

Mother's Day was quiet. Went to dinner with my family at a Japanese restaurant. It was a late dinner because my mom had to work. She liked the PEOPLE Magazine Subscription I gave her.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
Whoa... What a WEEK!!! Jeremy left Thursday afternoon. WE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME JEREMY!!! See you soon!.
Chris and Brook arrived in Chicago around 11am Thursday Morning...they went to see the White Sox that afternoon.. White Sox WON of course. Then, that evening we went to see Wilco. It was an awesome show!!!
Saturday MORNING, Chris & Brook went on a U.S. Cellular Field tour. Here are some SOX SHOTS....
Saturday EVENING...the U2 show!!! Sooooooo AWESOME!!! Eric and I sat right in the middle...It was AMAZING!!! The lights!! That was my favorite part...they made designs among the audience. It was so cool. OOOOO!!! And Coldplay and Gwenyth Paltrow were at the show... they were at the Club Box across from us!!! Here are some pictures I got from the U2 website...exactly what we saw last night.
That evening...Bono mentioned the ONE campaign. We signed up to support this campaign and I hope you can support them too.

OH NO!!!!! I missed ALIAS last night!!! UGH!!! I love that show. With Jeremy over...we had Oli and Diana over for poker. It was a FUN time...started with a game of Texas Holdem...OLI AND I KICKED BUTT!! Yea! Then played rounds of regular games of poker. It was a fun night. Broke even. I will have a picture up later. I'm still recovering from missing Alias last night. :(

What a fun evening! Eric, Jeremy and I went to the White Sox game in the 20 degree weather!!! We bundled up and made it to the game. It was 2 for 1 Tuesday on the NOSE BLEED SEATs if you had a Pepsi product. But we decided to sit at the lower level. There were only a few people in our section so we decided to walk over to 1st base to see how they were. EMPTY! So we hung out there the whole night. WHITE SOX WON!! 5-4 against Kansas City. White Sox are now at 19-7. Go Sox!! What a wonderful evening!!

Strangest thing happened yesterday. Eric and I were having our usual Monday Evening Dinner and Movie AND Jeremy (from MINNESOTA) calls and says he's coming to visit. Around Midnight here he is...in CHICAGO!! We're happy to have you. Boy, this is going to be a long fun-filled week!!! Tara ... wish you were here with us too!!

Got some terrible news this weekend. Jackie's niece, Nicole, was in a terrible accident this weekend. Luckily,she and her friend are ok. Thank God! But, their other friend, Jenny, who was asleep in the back seat is still in the hospital. She had major surgery on her face and some fractures. No word on her yet. A man fell asleep and plowed into thier car. Jenny and Nicole are Jakamahaka's of June 11, 2004. We're thinking of you and your friends, Nicole.
