HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, AUNT CHERYL!!!

Wow! What a wonderful weekend. Took it easy after checking out ticketmaster. Boy! Those U2 tickets went fast!! Although, they did add two more shows. Played my favorite PS2 Game Castlevania. I started over. I haven't played the game in almost a year. Then, Eric and I cleaned out the kitchen. There are people at our apartment right now working on the floors...We are getting new FLOORS!!! HOW EXCITING!!! I'm waiting for my dishwasher..but new floors are good! Eric just informed me that Whippet is out and about and he doesn't care what the workers are doing, but Nikki is freaked out and hiding under the bed. That's a good boy, Whippet!

UPDATE: IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED - WE ARE GETTING A DISHWASHER FOR SURE!!

Tuesday

Yes, my Auntie Trining passed away last friday. She was buried on Thursday, January 13th. Most of my aunts and uncles, including my mom, attended the services. She will be greatly missed.

It's time to move on...

Let's start with a little Snow!!! We had a blizzard this weekend. And Angelica LOVED it!!! (A different picture of Angelica is featured on Jakamahaka of the Week. Check her out! Link on the LEFT.)

Thursday

It's been a rough few months...my blogs have been very depressing. I'm sorry. I'll try to get off the subject (but I will add occasional updates of my aunts status since I know my relatives read this as well).

Monday: Jesse came over and made a wonderful 3 course pasta dinner for us. He taught Eric how to make RAVIOLLI (it's really called something else, but they look like ravioli). I chopped up some vegetables and made some parfait.

Please forgive me.. I don't know the names of these dishes. The first course consisted of the meat of an artichoke (OH! I helped peel those), mushroom mince concoction and a pouched egg (Eric made the poached eggs) and some Truffle Olive Oil.(VERY EXPENSIVE!)

Looks like a pile of you know what to me! (HA!)

The second course was the ravioli with curry sauce! Wonderful! Great Job, Eric! Then, the third, was the parfait and raspberries without the biscuit. DELICIOUS!!! Thank You, Jesse! Bravo!

Monday

I'm exhausted!

Just got back from San Francisco early this morning, around 12:30 am. Went to visit my very sick aunt.

Like I told my other cousins, it was a rough and restless weekend. It was nice to see everyone but the visit wasn't for fun. My aunt is holding on...she was ok when i got there friday but then got very weak...its on and off.

I got to hold her hand, rub her back and sat next to her with justin (her grandson) while she slept..she is very frail and jaundice.

Chris & Joemar are staying strong for their mom and dad. I am very proud of them. They are great sons.

It's obvious, my uncle is very tired. I think having my aunts and uncles there helps him a lot.

It was a rough weekend. I can't imagine what that would be like dealing with that everyday. It was exhausting for me just the weekend. I can barely keep my eyes open. I admire my uncle for what he does. I think we all do. We've always have.

Tuesday

I said a prayer for you today

And I know God must have heard

I felt the answer in my heart

Although he spoke no word!

I didn't ask for wealth or fame

(I knew you wouldn't mind)

I asked him to send treasures

Of a far more lasting kind!

I asked that He'd be near you

At the start of each new day

To grant you health and blessings

And friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for you

In all things great and small

But it was for His loving care

I prayed the most of all!
