CONGRATULATIONS, TROUT & MARGARET!!!
Yesterday, Eric and I attended Trout & Margaret's Wedding. It was a lot of fun! I got to meet a lot of new people and catch up with some old friends. The evening was an awesome time. Dancing all night was great!! Here are some pictures: (Click on Image to View)
This afternoon, we (The newlyweds, Diana, Oli, Eric and I) attended a Tigers vs. White Sox game. White Sox WON!!! AND I GOT A BALL!!! Yes!!! Aaron Rowand threw me a ball...5 other people were trying to get it but I got it!!! Thanks Aaron!! (Thanks, Diana and Oli for the great tickets!!)
I have to mention it but today is the one year anniversary of Swell's Death. I still think of her and miss her!!!

This weeks disaster in the southeast has left me speechless. I tried really hard to find some words to say this week about it but its just unbelievable. I can't. I feel so sorry for all of them. It's just so terrible. I watch the news and its impossible not to think...what if that happened to me? Hurricane Katrina has left New Orleans and parts of Mississippi forsaken. How do you rebuild that?
Last night, I watched this camera man take footages of the Dome where thousands waited in fear while Hurricane Katrina destroyed their homes. He saw...you wouldn't believe all the dead bodies he saw just tossed to the side. Covered with blankets and towels. There were old people, young people, even babies. It was terrible. Thousands have perished.
Then, the looters...HOW HORRIBLE! During this time..you don't think of yourselves but of others and obviously, "the looters" were not thinking at all.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those people.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWELL! Today would've been Swell's 12th Bday! I miss her so much!
What a quick weekend!! Had a sleepover ... Just like old times. Jesse spent the night at our place because his father was in town and stayed at his place. Then, last night I made our usual pasta dinner and watched the movie, "The Long Engagement." by the person who made "Amelie" It was ok I still really like "Amelie" better. Now a new week and I can't wait for the 3 day weekend!!! Trout and Margaret are getting married! Woo Hoo!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANA!!! Oli and Diana are on their 10 day trip along the west coast.
Boy! What a long couple of weeks. I'm still trying to recover! I finally had enough rest to take a jog yesterday afternoon. And the best thing happened. As I was on my way home, I saw my best friend from high school, Neda. She is now a teacher at our old high school. Which is great. She is an English teacher and she looks great! I can't wait to get to sit down and talk to her about what she has done the last 10 years. Whoa! HI, NEDA!

Hey!! The last two weeks have just been ROCKIN. Non-stop excitement. Justin coming to visit for a week. Jeremy and Tara coming last weekend and then coming back again tonight on their way home. Went to the White Sox game on Monday.
OOO...The White Sox has a MASCOT...His name is Southpaw.
Anyways...Eric and I saw Nate and his girlfriend, Stephanie, last night. She's awesome. I really like her!! Congratulations, Nate & Stephanie...they've moved in together.
OMG!! I forgot to mention... we played pool last night...although Eric and Nate are great pool players and they won two games. Stephanie and I KICKED THEIR BUTTS AT ONE GAME OF POOL AND THATS ALL THAT COUNTS!!!

Hung out with Justin Friday night before he went back home. Played some SCENE IT? Justin won!
Saturday. Pat, Dee and Apple were in town and took us to a great restaurant. Mon Ami Gabi It was fabulous. Thank You Dee and Apple. YOUR THE BEST!! PAT ITS ALWAYS A PLEASURE SEEING YOU!!!!
Saw Sam, Matt and Leah. Missed you guys!!! Going to miss you even more... Matt & Leah.. since you'll be moving to MINNESOTA!!!! Sam... POKER? Pat, what did you do? Making everyone follow your footsteps and MOVING!!!
Tara and Jeremy are on their baseball/rollercoaster tour. They are staying with us for a game of White Sox vs. Twins. Then they are off again. It's always great to see them!!!
Last night, Jesse made us a FANTASTIC DINNER!!! I dont know how to spell it... but it has...scallops, salmon, talapia, mussles and clams... YUMMY!!! Thanks Jesse... You're always the best!!

I THINK THIS WAS THE BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!! Went back to Nebraska this weekend for Chris & Brook's Reception and I got to meet the whole family. Both Eric's mom and dad's family and Brook's family. It was great!!! I love seeing them all especially Michael, Will and Anna!!!
Chris, Brook and the baby are doing well. Brook is showing a tiny bit. TINY BIT!! but I did notice. An interesting thing the doctor told her not to eat. ANY TYPE OF DELI MEAT like pepperoni, sliced ham or turkey. There are ingredients (chemicals) in these foods that can harm the baby. GOOD TO KNOW!!!
Got to see Nick as well. Missed you!! But don't be out of breath from running when you see us next time. Good Luck with the Marathons.
Another great thing about this weekend is that Justin is in town and he watched our fish for us. My parents watched our babies, Nikki and Whippet. Thank You to them!!

ATTENTION MATHERITES (Class of 1993-1994)
Just received some bad news. Marc Guido, a friend of mine from high school was murdered last year on July 2004 in Rogers Park. He was only 28. He just got out of work and on his way to his girlfriends place, a man had beaten him to death. "He and the woman exchanged words, and then the man beat him and killed him," Guido's mother said. It was last year so I didn't get much info about it. I did find it online.
CHICAGO -- A Niles man was charged over the weekend with the fatal breathing of 28-year-old Marcus Guido, another Niles resident who was found dead on a Rogers Park sidewalk last week.

Fanning, 44, was charged with the homicide. Police said an argument led
to the beating.

Its so sad to hear. My best memory of Marc was when we were in Stage Crew together. When we had some time to fool around we would waltz backstage to any kind of music. He was a fun guy. We will miss you Marc!!
YAY!!! I'm soooo happy!!! I can finally fit into a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in 4 years! I want to lose just a little more weight to fit into it perfectly but I just couldn't believe I fit into them. I was so excited I wore my 'I can't believe I can fit into again" jeans out to dinner with Justin and Eric. Justin is in town this weekend and he wanted to eat at this Indian Restaurant in Lincoln Park. I think it was called Abu Nawas but I'm not sure. I had a great Lamb dinner. Eric had Chicken grilled something. Justin had something chicken. Everything was just great.

WHAT A STRANGE EVENING!! After a WONDERFUL celebratory salmon dinner Jesse made last night (because Eric will be GRADUATING!!) and a GREAT (Congratulations) Cake. Eric and I spent the evening in the DARK!!! Yes, our block had a black out for two and half hours!!! Eric and I were surrounded by candelight. How romantic! Thanks again Jesse for an AMAZING dinner!

What a FUN Weekend!!! The weather was so BEAUTIFUL!!!! Eric and I went to his work retreat in Wisconsin. We did some fishing...Eric caught 3 fish and I caught 2. One BIG FISH...a Sheepshead. It was too big to handle, got caught in another line and it got away. So, I had no pictures of it. But it was such a great time!!!
Oli's 30th Bday party was this weekend. That was a great time too!!! Saw many friends I haven't seen in a while, like the Head of Femur crew, Kelley, Beth, Colby. It was such a Great Party!! Happy Birthday, Oli!!! (Aug. 2)
